Inventory management, in 15 screenshots.
Purchasing, the stock ledger and the till for a shop with more than one counter - every screen a store manager and a cashier work in.
GST-readyCaptured from a demo install with made-up stores, suppliers and products. No real business appears in these screens.
01Sign-inEvery user has their own login and role, so the audit trail can say who did what. An administrator never knows anyone else's password. 02What needs a decision todaySKUs at or below their reorder point, stock value at weighted average cost, receipts waiting to be posted and deliveries on order - the dashboard opens on what needs doing. 03The tillScan or search to add a line; the shelf price already includes GST and the tax is split out on the invoice. A bill can be parked while the next customer is served. 04Tax invoicesEvery completed sale is a numbered GST invoice, marked CGST + SGST or IGST. Voiding keeps the invoice number used, as the law expects, and puts the stock back. 05Returns and credit notesGoods coming back are booked against the original invoice as a credit note, with a reason. A draft moves no stock until it is posted. 06Shifts and cash varianceEvery sale belongs to a cashier's shift. Closing a shift compares counted cash with expected cash, so a short drawer has a name and a time attached. 07Purchase ordersOrders go draft, approved, sent - and approving is a separate permission from raising, so nobody orders and signs off on their own request. 08Receiving goodsStock is booked in against the order, freight and other charges are spread across the lines by value, and only posting reaches the ledger. 09Reorder suggestionsStock is compared with what can actually be sold, so units promised to an open sale are not counted twice. Tick the lines and draft the orders in one go. 10Stock on handUnits, reserved and available by SKU and location, with weighted average cost and value. The figures are rebuilt from the movement ledger and checked against it. 11The movement ledgerEvery movement ever made, newest first - sales, returns, receipts, adjustments. Rows can only be added: the database itself refuses an edit or a delete. 12Products and variantsStock is held against SKUs, not products, so a shirt in four sizes and three colours is twelve trackable items. Batch-tracked and serialised goods are marked. 13HSN codes and GST ratesRates carry a validity window, so a GST Council change is a new row from a date and old invoices keep computing at the rate they were issued at. 14SuppliersEach supplier's GSTIN is checked as it is typed, and its state decides whether input GST on a purchase is CGST + SGST or IGST. 15Returns to supplierGoods going back leave stock at the cost they arrived at, and the input tax credit claimed on them is reversed in the same step.
15 screens is still not the same as using it.
A demo runs about thirty minutes on a screen share, with your own records in it if you bring them.
