HR and payroll software for Indian companies
Hire to retire on one employee record, and a payroll that ties to the rupee before anybody is paid.
Payroll goes wrong in most Indian companies at the joins. Attendance is in one sheet, leave in another, salary in a third, and the PF and ESI returns are typed again from the payroll output at the end of the month. Every handover is a place for a number to change, and nobody can say afterwards which one did.
HRKosh puts it on one record. Attendance and leave feed the payroll run directly, the run is checked and approved by somebody other than the person who prepared it, and once approved it cannot be edited - a correction is an arrear in a later month, with its own trail. The statutory returns are derived from that approved run rather than retyped from it.

Statutory compliance, from versioned rules
PF, ESI, professional tax, labour welfare fund, TDS and gratuity are computed from rules that carry the date they took effect. When a ceiling or a slab changes, the new rule applies from its date and months already paid keep the rule they were paid under - so a re-run of March in July gives March's answer. The PF ECR and the other returns come out of the approved run, and the compliance calendar will not let a filing be marked done until it reconciles with the payroll it came from.
What it covers
One install serving many companies, each with its own settings, branding and data.
- Employee records, org structure and documents, with bulk import
- Attendance, regularisation and a monthly muster that locks
- Leave with accrual, year-end carry-forward and comp off
- Payroll runs with arrears, loans, bank files and payslips
- Investment declarations with proof verification for TDS
- Employee self-service, a helpdesk and announcements
- Recruitment from requisition to offer and joining
- Goals, reviews and 360 feedback; expense claims; exit and full and final settlement
Who can see what
Salaries, Aadhaar and bank details are the most sensitive data a company holds, so access is set by role and checked on every request, not just hidden in the menu. A manager sees their own team and nobody else's. Identity numbers are masked on screen and in the audit trail, and the audit trail records who changed what, and when, on every record that matters.
Where it is today
Honestly stated: all eight modules above are built and covered by several hundred automated tests, and it is in final development rather than released. A custom report builder, import from biometric attendance devices and integrations with other systems are not built yet. We will walk you through the whole product on a call with sample data, and if one of those gaps matters for your first month, say so early and we will tell you plainly whether the timeline works.
Questions we get asked first.
Does it handle PF, ESI and TDS?
Yes, along with professional tax, labour welfare fund and gratuity. Each is computed from a dated rule, so a change in the law is a new rule from its effective date and earlier months are not recalculated under it.
Can a payroll be changed after it is approved?
No, and that is deliberate. Once approved, a run is locked; a correction goes in as an arrear in a later month, so the payslip an employee already has always matches what the books say they were paid.
Does it connect to our biometric attendance machine?
Not yet. Device import is planned but not built, so today attendance comes from punches in the system or an upload. If your attendance lives on a device, tell us at the first call and we will be straight about the timeline.
Can we use it today?
Not as a released product yet. It is built and tested and we can demonstrate all of it, but it has not been released, and we would rather say that than have you find out during your first payroll.
Tell us what you need.
A twenty-minute call is usually enough to scope it and give you a number. Mon to Sat, 10am to 7pm.
